TBD Talk by Kory Gorsky
Blink's fork of WebKit, and how to work effectively in an upstream-downstream relationship by Marc-Antoine Ruel
Marc-Antoine Ruel worked on the Google Chrome team from 2007 to 2019. After having improved Chrome's security, done multi-process performance analysis and implemented printing support, in 2008 he started working on the developer infrastructure. In 2013, he was in the front seat to handle Chromium's engine transition from WebKit to Blink. He experienced multiple times an upstream-downstream situation from both sides. Chromium has been used by a amazingly large number non-Google projects since its release in 2008. Then he worked with other projects like Arc from The Browser Company, experiencing the reverse situation.
