When writing a fullstack application a common problem facing developers today is keeping data consistency between the frontend and backend. What the backend expects and what the frontend sends is not always the same.

In this talk we’ll look at this problem and different approaches to solve it. We’ll take a look at how AWS Amplify approaches this problem and show a demo. We’ll also compare and contrast other TypeScript approaches with React and Next.

Javascript that scales is Typescript. Typescript has seen massive adoption in recent years and it's just the beginning.

This talk is going to give us leverage from Typescript over React.

1. We will be talking about creating strongly typed function component props to understand what we can pass and avoid making mistakes.
2. Next we will see typed function component state, passing types in useState & useReducer hooks
3. We will also see typed class components, events and event handler.
4. Let's not forget about typed context and refs for maximal benefit.
5. We will end the talk with adding typescript using create react app and manually. Lot to learn & lot to cover.
