Turning Complex Data Into Clear Stories: Mapping Community Benefits in Toronto Centre

This session offers a deep dive into Community Benefits, explaining their purpose and how these development-secured funds are directed and spent within the community.

We'll explore how technology, specifically an interactive map and dashboard built with ArcGIS, helps make this complicated data accessible to the public, fostering transparency and understanding of these vital resources.

Speaker:

Francesca Policarpio

Francesca is an upper-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a double major in Human Geography (Planning) and Urban Studies with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Passionate about creating just and liveable cities through community-centred planning and advocacy, she currently serves as a Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Assistant to Councillor Chris Moise.

Her work focuses on leveraging data and direct action to drive positive urban change.
