Next.JS has long been the favored framework for React enthusiasts, but with the recent Next V13 update, things have taken an intriguing turn. The new version has introduced some highly anticipated features that have left developers with mixed feelings. The challenges arise from React's extensive history predating Next.JS, making it difficult to seamlessly integrate new functionalities like the 'Servicer Action' and others. However, Next.JS stands out as one of the first frameworks to tackle the server/client territory within a single code block. This innovative approach is still in its early stages and promises to shape the future of frameworks to come. To delve deeper into this exciting topic, make sure to attend our event.

As the React ecosystem matures, metaframeworks like Next.js, Remix, and Astro are leading the charge in enhancing performance, simplifying development, and expanding capabilities. This talk will explore how these metaframeworks build upon React to deliver more scalable, efficient, and powerful web applications, making them essential tools for modern developers.

In this talk, we will explore how Micro Frontends and Module Federation can be used with Next.js to build scalable and maintainable applications. We will discuss the challenges of traditional frontend development approaches and how breaking down a monolithic Next.js application into smaller, autonomous parts can improve development efficiency and agility. We will also cover the benefits of using Module Federation to share code at runtime between different applications and the Host app. The talk will include examples of how to use these concepts to build a micro frontend app using Next.js.

React development often doesn’t mean JUST React anymore. Frameworks like NextJS are on the rise and they offer a lot of power out of the box.
But how does it really work in the background? We’ll explore how different rendering strategies like SSR, SSG, CSR or ISR work, when to use each one, and how NextJS can optimise rendering, enhance page speed, and simplify server-side functionality in your React apps.
