Part of the AttendZen platform is a simple event website builder, where you can drag components onto a preview and edit them, with Svelte updating the preview in realtime. We'll look at a few challenges we ran into when developing this.

Recently I've been working hard to bring the custom renderer API to svelte!

This will unlock the ability to render a svelte component to something other than DOM: be It a native app, a PDF or even a terminal application. Let's explore the challenges we faced while working on it, how we surpassed them and what the future looks like.

Building 3D experiences for the web has always leaned on Three.js, and with Svelte we have libraries such as Svelte-Cubed and Threlte which allow us to do so declaratively. I will go over threlte-spline, the library I published which acts as the bridge between Threlte and the powerful design tool, Spline.
