Ah yes, the age-old question: Do I use GraphQL or tRPC? πŸ€”
Well, we've gathered two open-source library maintainers from each project to ask them about their thoughts on exactly this!
Join us as we chat with Alex (the creator of tRPC), Phil (the maintainer of the urql GraphQL client), and the live audience in London, as we chat about exactly this! πŸ™ŒπŸ½
Many thanks to Prisma () and Foolproof () for sponsoring this video. Please be sure to check them out and thank them for making this possible!
πŸ™ŒπŸ½ We're back with Alexandra Sunderland, at JSConf Budapest!
She's a fellow Canadian that just gave a talk about the emotional chaos of deploying code πŸ˜… Check out more on her presentation here πŸ‘‰πŸ½
Remote work is new for a lot of us, but Alexandra has been working remotely for quite a long time. She's written about the best practices for being an empathetic people-first leader, covering topics from accounting for remote-specific biases when hiring to how to give out promotions when you don't get to see people every day πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Taz recently was challenged with providing equipment to remote employees, and of course, Alexandra has documented best practices for that too πŸ˜„ Check out her book here πŸ‘‰πŸ½
Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to follow Alexandra for more πŸ‘‡πŸ½
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ We have Natalia from the VueJS core team and GitLab with us!
Her journey through in the software industry is incredible. From learning to code at 11 using BASIC on a ZX Spectrum, to getting a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, to learning JavaScript while becoming a mother, she's been considered a "junior" through that entire part of her career πŸ˜…
It was through her involvement with the VueJS community, meeting friends like Sara Vieira, and working on VueJS itself, she started working at GitLab which rocketed her upwards to the next stage of her career πŸš€
These days, she's based in Amsterdam. However, a large part of her journey was from Ukraine where she's from. Natalia was kind enough to speak about the current situation in Ukraine with us as well πŸ™πŸ½
